Our new lawn mower...

We got a great deal on a rider mower from our next door neighbor. Dan is quite relieved not to have to spend 2 hours mowing the grass anymore. The boys love it, too!

Feeling creative...

Score at the thrift shop

I think we all had one of these when we were little...

Yard work

They mulched and added the bushes that are directly behind them. Before the mulch was there, that area would gather water after it rained and be a muddy mess.
Hey there, Mr. Tough Guy

Q and Daddy were hard at work this Sat. afternoon making some changes to our yard. They look great!

Fun and Fellowship

There's a lot of boys in this picture!

Caleb and Ashton debate whether or not shields are needed.

We had some friends over for dinner on Sat. night. It was so much fun. Because their children are the same ages as our 3 younger ones, they all had a blast playing together! This was the first time we had company at the new house. This house is much better for entertaining than any other house we have lived at! We really had a great time.

Q's first day of school

After a lot of prayer and deliberation, we decided that it might be a good option to have Quintin go to school. After visiting 4 schools we found the school he is at now. As far as we can tell it seems to be exactly the environment we had been looking for. It reminds me of a home school. Only about 6 students of different ages each working on their own (with direction) on different things. The teacher works one on one with them on their lessons and is right there at the table with them. When I asked Quintin what he did on his first day he said they "played a spelling game, tested his multiplication facts, ate snack and worked on his typing." I'm praying this will be great for him. I'm so happy that he's liking it.

This is Quintin on his last day of Homeschooling.

All dressed and ready to go!

Ms. Cocina evaluates Q's reading. She says it's right where it should be!!!

A visit from grandma and grandpa

Last week we had a wonderful time visiting with my mom and dad. The boys just love having them here. We do too! We had a great time at the park and spending time outside playing. They stayed to watch Ashton play soccer also. After they left we went to eat and Landon said, "grandma and grandpa should eat here". He misses them :( We do, too.
