Ashton's Purple Martin
Landon's Yellow-Breasted Chat
Thea's Wood Duck
For school a few times a week we pick a trivia card from the game "What Bird Am I" and learn about the bird and find a youtube video to watch and listen to its call. Recently I've had the kids start drawing them, too, as children notice more details when they draw something. These are their second bird drawings and I was really excited how they turned out. Hopefully soon we will know enough of the birds to actually play the bird game, too.
I'm a follower of Jesus, a military wife married to a hard working, involved man and a mom to 7. Our lives revolve around homeschooling, books, baseball (watching and playing), AWANA, piano, cello and gymnastics. Here are my honest thoughts on trying to make it all work and live life for the Lord the best I can.

Making a Lei
We picked Plumerias from the tree out back and made these. Love how Mareea is in first position and Thea is givin' the shaka!
Mareea's first haircut
So Mareea is 4 and has never had a haircut! My babies are bald forever. Our amazing dance teacher was going to be next door getting a massage and said she would cut Mareea's hair which made it even more special. She held Mareea's hands and prayed before she cut her hair and I felt so blessed. Even though I didn't take an "after picture" (LOL) I got a bunch of the actual haircutting.
It looks so very, very cute! I will have to take a picture to show it off. And I am so thankful for that sweet curl Leslea saved for me!
