Today

It is cold!  I woke up and had to wear a sweatshirt and I'm thinking I need to get some socks on.  I went in search of pants for the girls and came up with nothing!  They don't seem bothered by it and are out jumping on the trampoline and keeping plenty warm.

Last night Evangeline woke up 6 times.  It was the first hard night I have had with her since she was born.  Either she is getting teeth or she was cold.  I had her layered in clothes and blankets, but it was much colder than it has been.

Grandma is here and took the littles while I did school yesterday.  It was the first good day of school I have had since she was here last time.  Amazing what a little peace and quiet can do.  We visited until 11 last night.  It's good to have girl time.

We miss Daddy a lot.  I am able to call/text him, but the connection is so bad that the calls always drop a few times and break up a lot making it hard to hear.   We were able to text videos of Mareea's birthday and hip hop class as well as some of the little ones just being themselves.  I hope it helps him feel connected to home and know how much we love and miss him.

I ordered this

Military Baby hat, acu hat, multi cam, airforce, marines, us navy hat, military hat All sizes

and this (it says navy wife on one side and my name on the other)
ABU ACU NWU Marpat Wristlet Keyfob Design on One side only

since I am feeling very "navy wife" with my husband being gone.  And those big key chains make it so much easier for me to find my keys.  I had one before, but it broke.

I have not been crafting or sewing at all and I'm upset with myself for it.  It just seems there is no time.  I now have a sewing room, but it is presently full of bins and fabric piles waiting to be organized so it's not exactly inviting me to be productive.

We are planning a trip to the commissary and the BX to make an exchange.

I have put some of our dried goods into glass jars on the counter and they look so nice.  I've started using big Motts applesauce jars to store dried beans in my pantry.  It saves space and looks so much better than the bags did.  We need more jars for sugar, flour and oats.

The end

She smiles :) We melt.

4 Months!!

This post is so late, but I did take these pictures right when she turned 4 months.  What a doll baby!  She loves to be cuddled and held.  She lets me rock her to sleep every night and nap.  Her cheeks are the yummiest things ever!  When she falls asleep on my shoulder I kiss them over and over.

Her smiles are so big!  She will smile at anyone who talks to her and I love that she can help brighten the day of a total stranger.
E is such a mover.  She pushes her legs under her and scoots forward.   If I put her on the ground and walk away for a minute, when I come back she's all the way across the room.  Often she will sleep through the night or until 5am.  Then I bring her to bed and she sleeps with me.  She is so easy going.  What a blessing.

Evangeline was playing on her blanket and the next time we looked...we saw this!  Such a sweet heart.

Those Blue Eyes

I was trying to capture Evangeline's deep blue eyes.  All of my babies, except Landon, have blue eyes, but none of them have this color.  It's so bright!  These pictures do not do her eyes justice, but she's still so cute so I had to post them.

These are so blurry, but last night I told the girls to give their brothers a hug goodnight.  We're not the most physical family...I'm not one for tons of kisses and hugs or cuddling, but I am trying to be better.  Mareea ran right over and gave Ashton a hug (she is a cuddler) and Thea looked confused.  Landon ran to Thea and gave her a huge hug.  Thea's face just lit up with the biggest smile!  Then, for whatever reason, they started dancing with their sisters in the kitchen.  So very, very sweet!

And here's a picture of what Landon and Thea did all Saturday.  It was quite the project to get those trains all the way into the shelves by the wall.  They were so excited and kept asking me to come look at it.  They don't admit it, but Landon and Thea are great buddies.  Melts my heart.
This is what happens when you keep the 2 year old up from nap because he had not gotten to the park that morning and would not be tired enough.

Bath Time

Baby's First Christmas

Hawaii's "fall"

When I looked outside this morning I noticed that one of the trees in our front yard had dropped a ton of yellow flowers.  The children and I decided to go outside and look at them.  Giddy brought along his dump truck to fill up with flowers.
Pretty soon they made up a game of trying to catch the flowers with buckets.  They did this forever.
I tried to sit up Evangline in the flowers to get a picture of her.

She's so cute.  We love her so much.

And this is the view from my front yard.  We are so blessed.
