Ashton is 7!!!!

I can't even begin to describe what it's like every year on Ashton's birthday. Each child's birthday makes me sad, but it seems to be the worst with him...probably because he's my oldest. But of course we had a wonderful day and a wonderful birthday. We hit the Chuck E. Cheese, opened presents, watched his choice of movie (Incredibles) and ate double chocolate fudge cake with chocolate icing.

This year Ashton received:
A digital camera from Grandma
a scrap booking album, paper and stickers to scrapbook his pictures
A camera case made-by-mama for the camera. I used Navy fabric.
Ready to paint nutcrackers and glitter glue to decorate them with.
A marine uniform from Quintin.
Paper airplanes wrapped in a blanket from Landon
2 DVDs from grandma. Veggie Tales and Sugar Creek Gang
A big tub of "army guys" that he'd been wanting for months
A samurai coloring book

At age 7 Ashton:
Loves to make "sets" with army guys, playmobil or his Alexander the Great guys.
Loves to read encyclopedias, atlases and short chapter books.
Loves to ride his bike down the hill in our yard and over small ramps the boys make
Loves to push Mareea on the swing and play with her
Loves to listen to me read chapter books out loud at night. Right now we're reading Homer Price
Loves his swimming lessons and is almost able to swim with arm strokes by himself.
Loves to play baseball and soccer outside with his brothers and Daddy.
Still loves to dress up in super hero costumes.
Knows many, many hymns and bible verses by memory.
Can do most of his school work independently.
Plays the piano
Loves Man Vs. Wild (the TV show)
Will still give his mama big hugs and snuggle with her.
