Wearing Evangeline

I have worn Evangeline so much since she has been born.  These baby carriers have been worth their weight in gold.  Even being in my arms does not make her as happy as being cuddled up in a carrier.  My favorite part is that I can listen to her cute little baby sounds and kiss her sweet head whenever I want.  Of course it's rather practical to have my hands free while doing things around the house, too!
I've been taking some pictures of her as a newborn in her carriers because I want to remember this time...and I want others to be able to see what a help they can be.

I brought a wrap to the hospital so I could sleep with Evangeline without fear of dropping her or having a nurse tell me I could not sleep with her!  This is the first time I wrapped her.  The children showed up to meet her shortly after this.

Here we are at home using a ring sling that I made.  E is 4 days old here.  This carrier is so comfortable for me and quick to get on and off.  It took me a couple of tried to get her and the carrier in the right place, but now that I have it figured out it's easy!

In the wrap at 4 days old.  Wraps take a little bit longer to get on, but they are so comfortable and sturdy.  I feel like I can be completely hands free with this on.  This wrap is just cotton gauze material that I ordered.  No sewing at all.  Just a long rectangle of fabric.  This is my go-to carrier for errands.  I tie the wrap on at home and then put E in it when we get to our destination.  So much better than pushing a stroller or lugging around a huge carseat!

This is my view..."swoon"!!

This is my maya wrap ring sling.  A friend gave it to me for Gideon and it is soooo soft.  The shoulder is not quite as comfy as the one I made, but the carrier itself is so much softer and broken in that I like it better for now.

And Daddy can wear it, too, because it's black.  Can you tell he was not in the mood for this?? LOL

I made this mei tai when I was pregnant.  It's so comfortable for me.  Evangeline is inside and 2 weeks old.  I just don't feel like she was as cozy as she is in a wrap or ring sling.

Dan bought me this Babyhawk for Mother's Day.  It's also pretty comfortable for me, but not my favorite for an infant.  I will def. use both of these last carriers a lot around 4-5 months and beyond.

I have to also mention that it's nice to have carriers when out somewhere.  No one notices that I have no clothes that fit me.  All they see is the baby and the carrier!
