What a beautiful day!!!

It is perfect today. No need for a coat and if you're moving around you can even wear short sleeves. We're thanking the Lord for the break from the cold weather. Gideon went on his first outside stroller walk. He seemed sort of confused as to what was blowing in his face and shining in his eyes. Poor boy hardly knows what it is to be out of the house! He did fine on the way out to the creek, but I had to carry him on the way back. Good thing I have lots of stroller pushers around here.
The sky is blue and the boys are riding their bikes and playing in our woods. They seem so content to be out there for hours. No toys even, just sticks and dirt seem to be all they need. We started out today so much better. Instead of boring seat work, we read books about maple sugar tapping, watched a youtube video on the same and then learned how to make origami hearts. I haven't seen Ashton so excited about anything in a long time. L and A really got into it, making tons of hearts and taping them up around the house. We got the tutorial here and I plan on learning how to make some other things so that I can teach them. They tried following the directions on the computer, but didn't have much luck with the more complicated things.
I've had a lot of homeschooling stress the past weeks. It may have been from crummy weather and cabin fever, but I think mostly it was from lack of creativity. We're very fun and creative in the morning, but when I try and do boring seat work during that time, it leads to an awful day! I'm trying to find what time works best for the "boring" work, as math and reading are very important! It seems this journey is never easy and smooth. There's always something else to learn about or figure out.
I should find my camera...I'd like to post pictures of Gid's walk.
