Somehow, Gideon got to be 10 months! Those double digits always shock me and this is no exception. He is such a cutie and we really enjoy him.
- He is into EVERTHING. He pulls down anything he can reach, pulls out anything he can reach and then tears it apart and eats it as best he can.
- He is eating lots of different foods. I still puree them for the most part and spoon feed them to him. He wasn't getting them chewed up well when he was self feeding and I wanted him to actually be able to absorb the food and the vitamins in it. He loves yogurt, homemade applesauce, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes and last night he even tried an ocra, brocolli, apple puree and ate it up.
- He's standing for a few seconds unassisted now. He'll even get to a standing position from the floor with no help. We lovingly call him a show off and are expecting him to take a step here soon.
- He takes 2 naps a day
- He nurses 1-2 times a night
- He nurses 3-5 times a day depending on the timing of meals
- He prefers to be worn in the Ergo over being in the stroller unless the stroller is moving fast
- Daddy puts him to bed every night. We call it giving Gideon "the shoulder". Dan rocks him in the glider and Gid falls right to sleep...mama has NO luck with that at all.
- Gid loves Daddy. He gets so excited when he comes home at night. Gid talks and coos and crawls as fast as he can over to him.
- Gid is not as splashy at bath time. He mostly tries to crawl accross the tub and pull up on the sides
- He'll "talk" back and forth with you
- He is starting to throw a ball back and forth...especially with Quintin.
- He LOVES balls and trucks. He cracks us up by throwing apples and chasing after them.
