Because we're moving I did not want to invest in an advent calender that we would probably lose or not be able to fit! I've seen lots of ideas for "activity advent calenders" and thought that might be a fun way to get ready for Christmas and create some memories. Today was our first activity...making Christmas cards! I have never, ever used glitter with my children before. I've just been too scared! But I figured that this would be a frugal way to make cute cards for our friends and family. The girls got really, really into it. Mareea was so good at carefully tapping the glitter tubes. The boys did a couple and went to find something else to do, but I think the girls would have continued this all afternoon!
