Hello Blog

It has been forever since I last posted and keep writing posts in my head that never make it up here.  My computer died and so I now use Dan's but I do not know how to upload pictures onto it and I hate blogging without pictures sooo...no new posts!

We are keeping busy around here!  Ashton, Landon, Thea, Mareea and Gideon are doing gymnastics twice a week and really enjoy it.  Gideon has finally found a place to run, jump and climb constantly where no one tells him to stop!  He is a little gymnastics energizer bunny.  The gym is on base and very affordable and it has been such a blessing.  Ashton and Landon have already been moved up to the intermediate class and Thea is anxiously awaiting a spot to open up so she can, too.

Winter baseball ended and spring baseball has started!  Games start this week and Quintin is excited to be playing his first season of baseball.  He is the catcher...not sure why he wants to, but it worked out because no one else on the team did!  Ashton and Landon are on the same team which is really nice for me (and them) and I have a blast watching them play.  Thea decided to sit this season out and that soccer is more her sport anyway.  She takes ballet with Mareea once a week so it is not like she is bored!

Dan has started woodworking and I am probably even more excited about that fact than he is.  We now have 2 beautiful book/toy shelves and a twin bed frame made.  There are plans in the works for lots of other projects and I am having a blast pinning ideas to add to his "honey-do" list.

I have been crocheting a lot and have made a few cute little cardigans.  My other big project has been some decluttering (gasp!) and moving around of things.  My most exciting moment this week was when Dan built shelves for our upstairs hall closet and I turned it into the game/puzzle closet!  I love to just look at how neat and tidy it looks!  Plus, I now have the "game shelf" back as a space for books and Giddy and Evangeline cannot pull out the games and spread them all over the floor of the lanai!

We have been driving the 30 minutes to the army base weekly to go to their library.  It is so much better than the one we have on base here.  The kids have gotten excited about reading again and love to go to the library.  I have had to put a limit on books and we still end up with about 70 books per trip!  We even found a focus on the family radio drama CD of A Christmas Carol there!  It was so good.

Evangeline is the cutest thing ever.  She loves bible study Wednesday mornings and will wave hello and reach her arms for her teacher when I drop her off.  All the other babies will be crying and she will just walk around, happy as a clam, and pat them on the back or play.  I guess you get used to crying and chaos when you have 6 siblings.

That is a little update on us.  I am going to try and have my wonderful husband help me with pictures tomorrow.
