Evangeline fell asleep on the way there. She slept for awhile in the carseat on the beach. I was glad because I could keep her in the shade more easily. Even with her super ugly spiffy rash guard swim suit, I worried about sunburn.
There was a class of what looked like yoga on paddle boards. Pretty neat actually and something I'd never heard of. The beach is right along the military and civilian runway so we see planes take off quite often as you can see in the background.
Thea brought along her snorkel. I thought she had just brought the mask until we were leaving and saw the snorkel part on the ground on the way back to the car. Glad it was still there.
Sleeping beauty awakes to check out her surroundings.
The girls had so much fun playing with their friends Ashley, Beth and Kate. They have been such a blessing to us.
We tried sitting in the sand for awhile. She was confused when she went to suck on her fingers and they were all sandy.
Ashton made this hole and it was huge! You can't tell at all from the picture, but Gideon could stand inside of it. Ashton had hoped to make it deep enough for himself to stand in but we didn't have enough time.
We stayed almost 2 1/2 hours which is quite the day for us. Evangeline did not even cry when I put her feet in the cold water. Next time I want to actually take her out for a swim...sort of. Gideon was wiped out. He is taking quite the nap now.
