Because I'm a cool mom

When Gideon and Mareea go to preschool we try to rush home and get some serious school work done.  Evangeline naps and it's reeeeallly quiet.  However, the other day I got the urge to play games instead.  So we did!!  Here we are doing geography...playing Ten Days in Africa.  A great game, by the way, and my children know where all the countries in Africa are thanks to it.

Math time with Sum Swamp.  It helps Thea with her adding and subtracting a lot and she also learns to order numbers largest to smallest and what odds vs. evens are.  Winner!

Art History with Art Shark.  This game takes a long time, but is fun.  Mostly we've learned that 17th century art can be pretty creepy.  The exposure to the masterpieces and the knowledge that they are from different countries and different time periods is my main goal at this point.

Spelling of course.  And if we played right it would be dictionary skills, too.  However, we mostly just laugh at the hilarious words they make up.  I guess it's phonics...since they have to sound out said words.
