Ashton played flag football for the first time this year. It was...an experience. I think we came out of it with a new appreciation for the many sports experiences we've had with great, kind coaches and nice kids. On the positive side, he got to learn more about the sport of football and try something new. I did not do well at taking any pictures of him playing (well, it would have helped if he actually was involved in the plays or got to play more than 5 min. a game), but I did get this one during their second to last game.
I have to admit I'm kind of happy that he now knows he really loves soccer and would rather play that than football. It was also impressive to me that he stuck it out through the season. I asked him more than once if he wanted to just be done, but he kept on. I'm so proud of him.
