14 Weeks

I wish I could say that I can't believe I'm already 14 weeks, but I honestly feel like this pregnancy has been crawling along!  I'm not uncomfortable or anything, but I just feel like I should be about 23 weeks by now.  However, 14 weeks is good, too.  I'm still in my jeans, but starting to get a little bit of a baby bump.  Mareea, Gid and I went to my first OB appointment this week.  I was very nervous about driving so far, but it only took me about 40 minutes instead of an hour.  The drive out there is just beautiful and I'm sure we'll find activities to do on that side of the island on my appointment days.  The waiting room is small.  Really small.  There are only 4 chairs which means the kids won't even fit.  I'm not sure if I'll need to be looking for a babysitter or have the older ones sit in the hall.  They were so nice and took Mareea and Gid out of the tiny exam room and had them color and gave them cheerios while they waited for me. 
The midwife did an ultrasound and I'm measuring right where I thought I was.  I just fell in love with that sweet baby the second I saw those tiny fingers and nose.  We looked hard for gender, and if we had to guess it would be a girl, but it was really hard to see so early on.  I have another ultrasound on the 15th and we should know for sure.  Dan won't be able to come and I'm really bummed about that.  We have always made a big deal of those ultrasounds.  We bring the kids and make a day of it.  However, this time it will be different.  I'm trying to be excited about going by myself.  It's hard not being able to share it with my husband and have the kids involved. 

It's pretty late and I should get to bed.  My mom is visiting and we are running around the island like crazy.  I love it.  We've been so many places and I'm beginning to love Hawaii again.  When I can get my camera charged I will post pictures.
