My wonderful husband watched most of the children and the baby while the big girls and I went to the NEX today. I wasn't exactly sure why I was going there other than to just browse, but decided to try and find some clothes while I was there. The girls are good shoppers. They enjoy looking at everything and even tell me I look nice when I try on clothes.
I looked around at some of the shoppers when I went in to get an idea of what people are wearing. I just don't get a lot of fashion exposure inside my home if you know what I mean! I am fairly certain I was the most unfashionable person there! For a moment I was pretty upset with myself for not doing better. My poor husband has always liked me to dress cute and I just have not over the past 5 years.
So we went to look at clothes. I was thrilled to find 2 pair of jeans and 2 cute shirts for decent prices. And they fit! A few weeks ago I went to the Goodwill to try and find some clothes for this transition time after baby, and bought a skirt and a pair of shorts. They were fine, but were very ill fitting and I have not worn them much. It is such a blessing to have clothes that look nice and actually fit. I am planning to make an effort to get out and shop a bit more so I can look nicer. And I won't have to embarrass my family and myself by wearing clothes that are older than my children :)
