Corn Starch for diaper rash??

Gid came down with a bad diaper rash.  I was unable to tell if it was a regular rash or yeast and neither lotramin or A&D seemed to make any difference.  When Ashton was a baby I remembered my mom telling me that her doctor had told her to use corn starch to help with rashes in baby rolls under the chin.  I decided to try the corn starch and well...it worked!  Cheap, non-toxic and safe for my cloth diapers.

Just thought I'd share in case it might help someone else!

On a side note...I tried mixing corn starch and baking soda to use as deodorant.  It works wonderfully!  The only time I find it does not work as well as my old stuff is when I'm working out and really sweating hard.  I was thankful to find a natural alternative to deodorant that is not so expensive!  I had tried just baking soda in the past and it seemed to keep me from being smelly, but did not keep me dry.  Adding in the corn starch did the trick.
