I have no problem with my girls wearing perfectly good hand-me-down shoes from their brothers. I found a like new pair of nike's at the thrift store today for $1. I plan on having Mareea wear them even though they have a blue swoosh.
I wonder if handing down the boys undies to them is going too far? Thea has a pair of boys undies with the Incredibles on them. Landon wrapped them up in a plastic grocery bag and gave them to her for her birthday. Dan noticed she wore them two days in a row and said, "didn't you wear those yesterday?" Her response. "Yes. I like them. Don't they look nice?"
I am thankful Mareea is a girlie girl who makes sure to take off her princess dresses before dinner so they "won't get dirty". She also asks me every day if she can wear a dress. Thea has never once asked to wear a dress, but she sure does love her tie dyed t-shirt with green capris and the soccer uniform her brothers handed down.
We walked to the doctors yesterday. On the walk home a car drove by blasting some G-funky music. Of course I had to start bustin' a move. Quintin quickly looked around to make sure no one was looking. I asked them, "You didn't know your mama had moves like that did you?" Quintin's reply, "I don't think people dance like that anymore". oops...i guess I'm old. But it's all good. I have no problem bein' old school.
