Military moves

When we moved from Hawaii to Ohio I thought the unpacking process was so terrible because all our things were broken and they had made a mess of all our things.  While that was partially true, I think I've learned after this time that unpacking just stinks in general!  Tonight we finished 2 1/2 days of constant unpacking and organizing in the house.  There is still a basement and garage full of boxes and boxes and piles of things all over the house!  We look like hoarders!  By the end of today I was getting pretty depressed and realizing just how big our house in Ohio was.  Dan and I decided to stop the full time unpacking and just do a little each day from now on.  The kids have been great.  The 2 oldest boys have been a huge help and the littles have played nicely (for the most part) with their new toys and books they haven't seen in forever. 
When the movers came with the truck they brought the 12, 100 pounds worth of stuff that we had in our old house.  Is it just me or does that seem like a whole lot?  I kept telling the movers, "but we just don't have that much stuff".  I'm sure he was thinking "yeah right, lady.  Whatever".  Now that I see it all.over.the.house, I think we do have a lot of stuff! 
Our move in experience was better than I could have hoped.  The guys were so nice and professional and got the job done well and quickly.  They were kind to the children and were quick and happy to do whatever I needed or asked.  Dan had to be in school so we had been praying we would get a good team of movers.  The kids just played happily on the lawn with their bikes and long lost toys while while everything was moved in. 

So a couple of funnies in the house recently...
Instead of telling Q he was going to "feel the heat", Ashton told him to get ready to "smell the thunder" LOL

I accidentally poured a ton of chips on A's plate and told him he had "hit the jack pot" on chips.  When I again poured too much on Landon's plate Landon says, "wow!  I really smacked the jack box on chips! 

I'm going to bed.  Unpacking is exhausting.  Gideon is having a horrible time with his teeth is cries constantly unless he's being held.  It's not making the process of getting this house in order easy!
